Wase Polder: Poster exhibition

For the apotheosis of the polder project, the Erfgoedcel Waasland developed a series of posters that tell the story of the Wase polders and waterways in words and images. The exhibition consists of nine posters in A2 format, each of which links historical images to explanatory texts:

  • De Potige Polders, about the project and the partners.
  • Flood, how floods were both a curse and a blessing.
  • Private Heritage, special polder heritage in private ownership.
  • Polder Sinaai-Daknam, concise history of our westernmost watering.
  • Versatility, two posters about the lesser known sides of life on and along the water.
  • Past and present, images of the Durme, Kruibeekse and Beverse polders then and now.
  • Wase cartography, two posters illustrating how the Wase landscapes have been mapped since the sixteenth century.
