Images of change: Compare satellite images
The Images of Change app lets you compare your satellite photos from before and now and see what effects global warming, natural disasters, and human activities have.
The photos are grouped in pairs (before and after) and always show what big change has taken place.
When viewing the photos, you can also request additional information about the place you are currently viewing. The exact location can also be obtained from a ticket.
The places you can view and compare are organized according to issues:
- water,
- drying out,
- Cities,
- human impact,
- ice,
- ...
For example, you can view the following places:
- Muirgletsjer in Alaska (1941-2004);
- flood of the Missouri;
- forest fires in Colorado;
- volcanic eruption in Iceland;
- expansion of agriculture in saudi arabia;
- ...
