Apollo - 50 years of the moon landing

Half a century ago, Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. A total of twelve astronauts would be walking around on our nearest neighbor. The first moon landing kept the whole world glued to the TV set, the last flight received hardly any attention.

After fifty years, it is certainly worth looking back at the Apollo program. America gained experience in manned space travel with space programs such as Mercury and Gemini. Apollo put the icing on the cake.

Many books have already been written about the Apollo program and many more will be written. This brochure is intended as an introduction to the whole story, an introduction to rocket and capsule, a guide along the trajectory from the earth to the moon and back. But also a brief introduction to the research and the results.
