Culture in the Mirror: The theory in a nutshell

The Culture in the Mirror research provides a solid framework for cultural education across subjects, ages and disciplines. The basis for the research is the theory of Prof. Dr. Barend van Heusden. The video shows his theory in a nutshell.

The aim of the research is to develop a frame of reference for integrated cultural education. This frame of reference must, among other things, meet the so-called curricular discontinuity that exists in education today with regard to cultural education. The research also tries to provide a clear answer to the question of what culture actually is and what its importance is for education. This video highlights how cultural awareness can be honed in class by fostering four cultural skills.
