Subsidy for the greening of school domains

More and more schools are discovering the benefits of a natural school site and are working to create a green and challenging learning environment. Limburg schools that green their playground and school grounds can apply for guidance and a subsidy.

You can apply for a subsidy for the design and realization of a natural school domain.

To do this, your project must at least meet these conditions:

• The planned interventions strengthen local biodiversity. So you choose a school domain with more nature and less paving.
• The adjustments promote natural learning. Consider, for example, nature education in nature, living mathematics, making music with natural materials, physical education in nature or finding meaning in nature. For both primary and secondary education, the school domain can be the perfect place to learn in, with and from nature.
• The new school nature promotes the well-being of the students.

This greening subsidy is always accompanied by intensive guidance. The Limburg MOS supervisors will assist you during the process in a preliminary phase and after delivery.
